The STANDARD CodeFree Plus system is designed to determine glucose levels both in fresh capillary whole blood taken from a finger, palm, forearm or upper arm and in venous blood. The STANDARD CodeFree Plus meter is only used with STANDARD CodeFree Plus or SD CodeFree test strips. The device is intended for in vitro diagnostic use. This system is intended for home use by people with diabetes and for use in healthcare settings to test the effectiveness of diabetes control. This system is not intended for the diagnosis of diabetes and blood testing of newborns (from 0 to 30 days after birth). Alternative test sites can only be used when glucose is steady (when glucose is not changing rapidly).
